The Guest Information Representative assists with serving guests who are visiting patients as well as directs and informs guests of the visitation rules and regulations using computer systems. Working under close supervision this job helps provide a positive guest and patient experience assists departments with special projects works with volunteers to communicate visitation information as well as assists with guests with physical and emotional needs during their visit. This is a PRN role which means you will work when needed (4 hour shift).
Responsibilities
Assists department coordinator and director with special projects ensuring timely completion.
Assists guests with physical needs by ensuring appropriate transportation is available when needed.
Communicates with guests regarding the hospital visitation policy and provides information to guests regarding number of visitors permitted to the inpatient areas and guest visitation times.
Communicates with volunteer leadership regarding security concerns and needs
Establishes rapport with guests as well as presents a personal friendly and empathetic manner to guests.
Maintains good interdepartmental working relationships working in a cooperative positive and professional manner with others.
Recognizes patients and guests who might need language interpreters sign language interpreters or assistance from Spiritual care and responds appropriately.
