Job Description
Are you detail-oriented and enjoy putting out a high-quality product We are seeking a Quality Control Technician for our Ink Lab. Check out this opportunity to be part of our team and contribute to our growth and success. As a Quality Control Technician you will be responsible for:
- Performing quality control testing of production batches of inks and coatings
- Completing associated clerical work (entering results into SAP printing labels filing etc.)
- Performing 5S cleaning and maintaining the area
- Establishing and maintaining accurate and complete quality records in SAP
- Performing color quality tests; making batch additions and adjustments
- Implementing necessary and timely batch corrections directly to Production
- Calibrating and verifying test equipment
- Investigating and analyzing non-conforming batches (internal and external)
- Supporting Lean Manufacturing
- Ensuring sample retention management
- Performing some customer proofing
Qualifications :
To perform your job as expected you will be required to:
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Be able to pass a color vision test
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skills
- Be flexible to cover other shifts if needed
- Have excellent verbal written reading comprehension and good math skills
- Have 6 to 12 months previous Lab/QC related work experience
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
In addition to these qualifications we will consider it a plus if you have:
- An understanding of manufacturing operations and basic aspects of printing technologies
- Experience working in a high volume department
- Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing facility
- Trade or Tech school
- Availability and willingness to work overtime as needed
- SAP Knowledge
- Previous experience in the ink industry
