Job Description:
- Perform microbiological assays including cultures staining and identification of bacteria fungi and viruses under supervision.
- Assist in the preparation and sterilization of culture media glassware and laboratory equipment.
- Assist in testing samples.
- Keep the lab clean and organized ensuring proper storage of microbiological specimens.
- Record and maintain accurate data on experimental results including microbiological growth rates colony counts and contamination levels.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for microbiological testing to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g. GMP ISO GLP) and help with internal audits and safety checks.
- Perform basic techniques for identifying microorganisms including gram staining biochemical tests and automated systems.
