Human Resources Assistant
Job Title:Human Resources Assistant (CSJ Title:HR Assistant)
Contract Term:8-week term (Canada Summer Jobs Grant contract)
Hourly Rate: $ 16.50
Start Date:July 7 at the latest
End Date:August 31 2025
Hours of Work:35 hours per week

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must meet the criteria below to qualify for roles funded by Canada Summer Jobs.
- The candidate must be between the ages of 15 and 30 at the beginning of the employment period.
- The candidate must be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
- The candidate must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment.

Job Overview:
This position will be responsible for supporting the People & Culture (Human Resources) department by completing administrative functions that support HRIS systems management talent acquisition employee engagement and other HR programs.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain employee records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in scheduling interviews conducting initial candidate screenings and supporting the onboarding of new hires.
- Assist with training sessions and benefits enrollment.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and HR projects
Required Qualifications:
- Must meet the Canada Summer Jobs eligibility criteria.
- Education in Business Administration or Human Resources is an asset.
- Experience in an administrative role or HR Assistant role is an asset.
