Description

As GMHBAs Head of Legal and Procurement you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the provision of sound and commercially focussed general legal advice and contractual drafting services. You will provide leadership oversight advice and support for the procurement of goods and services ensuring GMHBA has a procurement function that ensures probity complies with relevant legislation operates efficiently and has a strong focus on value for money.



Skills And Experiences

You will have:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within legal procurement strategic sourcing and contract management.

  • Proven experience in successfully leading legal and procurement processes implementing cost-saving initiatives and managing supplier relationships.

  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices market trends and legal requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence change.

  • Demonstrated experience as a strong negotiator in procurement and legal matters.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

  • Understanding of PHI and PHI industry regulation

  • Prior in-house legal experience

Mandatory Qualifications Certifications

  • A legal practitioner eligible to be admitted in Victoria with at least 10 years experience in commercial and corporate legal.

  • Bachelors degree in Law or equivalent.

  • Holds (or is eligible to hold) a current Victorian Practising Certificate under the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014 (Vic) and be admitted as an Australian Lawyer.
