This role is based in our Oakville office and reports to the Transportation Operations Manager.

Job Purpose:
The Customs Compliance Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations supporting the import/export of our finished goods and raw materials. They will manage the relationship with our customs brokers to ensure a compliant and efficient flow of goods ensure master data is accurate to produce customs documentation and be a cross-functional resource to support the education and gathering of all customs related information.
This role will have close working relationships with Global Procurement Tax and Finance North American Operations and all corporate functions (i.e. HR Sales Planning etc.) to ensure Customs operations are tuned to support our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Customs Invoices & Certificates of Origin: Ensure that the IPEX Master Data related to customs is accurate to generate a Customs Invoice and Certificates of Origin:
Classifications
Country of Origin Validation
Markings
Rulings
Produce Certifications: Produce and collect various types of certifications related to the movement of goods internationally:
Produce Certificates of Origin of pertinent free trade agreements for our clients
Collect and validate documents from our suppliers
Other regulations (TCSA FCC FDA etc.)
Support Daily Operations for Customs Matters: Be the day-to-day support for the business with all international related shipments:
Produce Customs Invoice for Non-Inventory goods (Raws Assets Samples etc.)
Manage the relationship with IPEX Customs Brokers
Respond to inquiries around Classification duty rates country of origin etc.
SOPs: Write and maintain customs related SOPs. Provide training to the business on customs requirements.
Supply Chain Security: Maintain the IPEX CTPAT/PIP certifications procedures and training modules. Work closely with security to execute on site inspections and self-audits
Education & Experience:
5-10 years experience in US/Canadian Customs Compliance
Experience with service providers (customs brokers)
Experience with supply chain security (CTPAT/PIP)
Education in supply chain logistics or trade
Have the ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment that values service
Have the ability to adapt to and manage growth
In-depth understanding of customs and logistics processes
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel SAP or other business intelligence software)
Experience generating customs documentation to support international trade requirements
Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus
