As aSr. Associate II Research & Development Process and Product Designyou would beresponsible for planning directing and implementing all aspects of design and development of products. Investigates and evaluates the conceptualization of new methodologies materials processes or products from initial design to market release. Monitors documentation throughout product life cycle. This is located in Belmont CA and in this role a typical day will include:
- Conduct process research development and upscaling for new medical device products
- Investigate and evaluate existing technology; design new methodologies materials machines or processes for medical device development
- Design components systems prototypes or specific products using engineering analysis
- Ensure compliance with regulatory statutory and legislative requirements for all project work
- Research plan design verify validate and develop mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems
- Conduct exploratory data analysis implement statistical methodologies and improve computational efficiency
- Work closely with senior team members to refine modeling techniques and validate model performance
- Support and stabilize new product launches through concept design development and steady-state processes
- All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) maintaining accurate and complete documentation ensuring rigorous quality control and completing all required training. Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.
What Youll Bring to Alcon:
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 10 yrs; Assoc.6 yrs; M.S.0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Biomedical Engineer
- Experience with Matlab and/or Python
