Job Description

Job Description:

A fixed term opportunity to support the local implementation of the new Global Record Retention and Deletion Policy and Control Standard. The role is part of regulatory operations under the data protection executive (COO) and the DPE delegate.

The role includes supporting the data protection executive and delegate to identify and close gaps between new data retention requirements and existing procedures. The role also includes active coordination with internal stakeholders across the organisation to implement new data retention and deletion requirements in their area in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the identification of gaps between existing data retention and deletion controls and new requirements

  • Coordinate with record owners for the timely review update and approval of data retention and deletion related deliverables in their own area

  • Act as a first point of contact for record owners and provide initial advice in data retention and deletion matters in connection with GRRD implementation

  • Coordinate with record owners to identify and destroy hard copy records with expired retention period and to digitize hard copy records that should continue to be retained

  • Support DPE and DPE delegate in data retention and deletion control monitoring activities

  • Support DPE and DPE delegate in closing other identified control gaps between the existing and new data retention and deletion frameworks

Required Skills:

  • Organised and detailed orientated

  • Able to manage/prioritize workload and able to own initiative

  • Professional and confident manner

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are required across different levels of the organisation

  • Good PC skills including a working knowledge of Excel Word Outlook.
