Lead Preconstruction Manager
Arc Partnership is a joint venture between Nottinghamshire CountyCouncil (NCC) and SCAPE. Formed in 2016 to support the council in creating anefficient safe and sustainable land and property portfolio.
We provide lifecycle property servicesincluding the delivery of a high volume of multi- disciplinary projectsworking with in-house architectural and engineering design teams as well as procuring and managing delivery by a range of local advisory and contractor supplychain partners.
Were growing our teamin response to a significant pipeline of work with an emphasis on educationand development projects for Nottinghamshire County Council.

Your new role:
Were looking foran experienced LeadPreconstruction Manager to join our team and takeownership of the planningmobilisation and programme management of a portfolio of projects and advisory commissions in their early stages.
Youllbe responsible for the production of accurate preconstruction phase information toinform design and construction activity throughout the life of our projects. Youll also manage the production andquality assurance of early-stage project reports for our clients. (e.g. feasibilities options appraisals)
You will lead a small teamof Preconstruction Managers helping to nurture grow and develop theirskills and working with managerial peers to ensure continuous improvement ofour project management family of roles.
What youll bring:
Youll have significant experience of construction project and programmemanagement within the built environment sector. You shouldhave experience of managing client relationships in a political or complex environmentworking with external stakeholders to provide briefings and advice to committeesand boards across a wide range of clients and stakeholders.
Youll be fully conversant across all RIBA work stages particularly inthe development and refinement of client briefs and the management of activitybetween RIBA PoW Stages 1 to 3 including budgets and change control followedby seamless handover to colleagues to deliver future work stages.
Essential:
Provenexperience of coordinating design functions within a multi-faceted constructiondesign project management and contracting business.
Provenexperience of project management in the preparation and coordination ofpre-construction information (PCI) including the delivery of feasibilitystudies project reviews associated reports surveys site dataresponsibility matrices and project execution plans across a range ofconcurrent projects / programmes
A broad understanding of all multi-disciplinary teams includingArchitectural; Building Surveying; Structural Electrical or MechanicalEngineering as well as associated specialist consultants.
Strong design commercial financial and contractor management skills.
Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to use owninitiative to plan and manage and prioritise own work programme projects andother resources.
Proven leadership skills able to motivate influence and bring aboutchange.
Degree (or equivalent) in one of the following disciplines:Architecture: Building Surveying; Engineering Construction Management or otherrelevant construction related field.
Desirable:
An understanding of Digital Construction practices including the use ofBuilding Information Modelling (BIM) and associated standards (eg ISO19650)and benefits of appropriate technologies in the built environment.
