Job Description

St. Boniface Diocesan High School
is currently welcoming applications for a Servant Leader for the full-time permanent position of:
SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
(commencing September 2025)

St. Boniface Diocesan High School is an English Roman Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Saint Boniface. This co-ed diocesan high school offers strong academic and religious program to students in grades 9 12 with a variety of optional courses and extra-curricular programs. The school enjoys strong parental support active student involvement and a dedicated caring staff.

The School Principal serves as the spiritual instructional and administrative leader of the school ensuring its effective operation as a Catholic educational institution. The Principal must maintain an environment that nurtures Catholic faith formation supports academic excellence and ensures the schools vitality and long-term viability. The Principal is also responsible for fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages a genuine love of learning among all members of the school community. The Principal must demonstrate confidence and competence in the direct supervision of all school staff and the consistent enforcement of student discipline while also possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaboratively engage with parents board members and other stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

The preferred candidate:

  • Holds a Manitoba Professional Teachers Certificate with a MB Level I or II Administrators Certificate and a minimum 3 years of high school experience (may be a combination of teaching/administrative experience);
  • Is a practicing Catholic with a commitment to the goals of Catholic education;
  • Has leadership experience in faith-based educational environment;
  • Possesses strong and effective operational management skills including human resources financial oversight delegation monitoring staff performance and overseeing administrative functions;
  • Has strong organizational written verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships;
  • Ability to implement and adhere to policy and procedure.
  • Ability to provide effective guidance and mentorship to staff and students.
  • Experienced in fostering a collaborative working culture with staff and the board to progress the best interests of the school.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop and implement innovative programming;
  • Capable of leading strategic plans and special projects;
  • Is a curriculum and technology visionary adept at inspiring teachers in the pursuit of educational excellence;
  • Has experience in growing student enrollment;
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive respectful and supportive working environment.
