Job Description

HVAC Technician

The Maintenance Mechanical position focuses on HVAC systems and requires a hands-on approach to complete repairs and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems including chillers cooling towers and associated electrical and pneumatic systems. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance and repair service work across various building systems to ensure properties remain in peak operational condition. The position also involves customer service documentation and compliance with safety regulations.


Qualifications
  • Must have a certificate for refrigerant type 1 and 2
  • GED or equivalent education
  • 7 years of HVAC facility-related work experience or comparable work experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes and safe work practices
  • Certification as a Universal Technician for CFCs (or within 90 days of employment)
Responsibilities
  • The Maintenance Mechanical position focuses on HVAC systems and requires a hands-on approach to complete repairs and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems including chillers cooling towers and associated electrical and pneumatic systems
  • The role emphasizes preventive maintenance and repair service work across various building systems to ensure properties remain in peak operational condition
  • The position also involves customer service documentation and compliance with safety regulations
  • Complete required repairs and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems including chillers cooling towers pumps motors and air handlers
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair service work on HVAC mechanical plumbing electrical and other building systems
  • Prepare and submit requests for parts purchase and purchase orders
  • Assist other mechanics and electricians with repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Maintain tools and order supplies as required for installation and repairs
  • Keep logs document equipment repairs and close work orders accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with safety policies
  • Evaluate train teach and coach a workforce of engineers and maintenance technicians as requested
