Job Description
RN-Cardiovascular Operating Room Permanent Role
- Location: Dallas TX 75246
- Shift: 12 HR Days 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed: 36 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
- Assess and monitor pre- intra- and post-operative patient conditions.
- Coordinate care based on the nursing process and patient needs in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Implement individualized patient care plans.
- Operate within established hospital and surgical unit protocols procedures and regulations.
- Maintain a sterile field and practice strict infection control protocols.
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to physicians and team members.
- Document care and procedures accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Ensure safe handling and operation of surgical equipment.
- Support cardiovascular procedures including open-heart surgeries and vascular interventions.
- Expertise in CVOR protocols equipment and procedures.
- Knowledge of surgical nursing care anatomy/physiology pharmacology and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with accrediting and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- General computer proficiency (Microsoft Office EMR scheduling/payroll systems).
- Respect for diversity and commitment to patient privacy and professional ethics.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)-Required.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in CVOR Required.
- Minimum 1 year of general OR RN experience Required.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact state license)-Required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification-Required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not current).
