Job Description

Nurse Practitioner-Internal Medicine Permanent Role

  • Location: Dallas TX 75246
  • Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Guaranteed: 40 Hours
  • Compensation: Based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive and problem-focused physical exams.
  • Diagnose and treat chronic and acute health problems in the adult population.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results.
  • Develop and manage care plans based on evidence-based guidelines and patient needs.
  • Prescribe medications and other therapies as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and services.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong knowledge of medical diagnosis treatment plans and preventive healthcare.
  • Proficient in interpreting lab tests and diagnostic results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Comfortable with electronic medical records and healthcare technology.
  • Ability to develop patient-centered care plans.
  • Competent in counseling patients about medical and behavioral health conditions.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program

Experience:

  • New graduates considered (Less than 1 year experience acceptable)

Licensure & Certification:

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Texas.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with Texas license.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Certification in applicable patient population (e.g. Adult-Gerontology or Family)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)-Required within 30 days of hire
  • National certification from a recognized certifying board (e.g. AANP or ANCC).
