About:
As a Mechanical Estimator you will play a crucial role in construction and project management processes. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze project specifications gather necessary data and produce accurate cost estimates. You will collaborate closely with project managers architects and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
Review plans and specs to understand scope.
Conduct on-site visits to assess conditions.
Prepare detailed cost estimates (materials labor equipment overhead).
Use cost databases historical data and benchmarks for accuracy.
Develop bid proposals outlining scope costs and qualifications.
Collaborate with bid team to align proposals with project needs.
Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes.
Maintain supplier relationships for competitive pricing.
Identify and mitigate risks affecting project costs.
Communicate with teams to ensure alignment on estimates and goals.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Construction Management Business Engineering or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
2-5 years estimating experience in mechanical or construction industry.
Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical math communication and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented and accurate in cost estimation.
