Job Description
Seeking a skilled craftsman with leadership experience to oversee custom home builds and renovations in Sonoma Napa and Marin counties. Manage daily site operations coordinate crews and ensure high-quality on-time and on-budget project delivery. Join a team that values craftsmanship and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead construction crews on-site ensuring timelines budgets and quality standards are met
- Interpret and work from blueprints plans and specifications
- Perform expert-level carpentry including framing trim cabinetry and custom woodwork
- Coordinate effectively with subcontractors suppliers and project team members
- Enforce job site safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
- Conduct regular quality control checks and resolve on-site issues quickly
- Mentor junior team members and promote skill development within the crew
- Minimum 10 years of carpentry experience including 5 years in a supervisory role
- Degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus
- Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced construction environment
- Deep understanding of residential building practices and materials
- Experience with BuilderTrend (or willingness to learn)
- Skilled in blueprint and construction document interpretation
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
