Essential Functions of the Position
- Diagnoses the source of trouble and determines the extent of repairs required.
- Replaces and repairs worn or broken parts such as piston rings bearings or other engine parts.
- Experience in with snow machine repairs.
- Replaces grinds and adjusts valves.
- Rebuilds carburetors.
- Overhauls transmissions.
- Repairs and replaces fuel injection lighting and ignition systems.
- Performs annual quarterly and monthly inspections on all motorized equipment power industrial equipment and general warehouse equipment
- Perform a variety of collateral duties such as hazardous waste generation disposal handling etc.
- Operates forklifts up to and including 50000 pounds lift capacity and a variety of other equipment.
- Understands and uses safety items and personal protective equipment (PPE) that is mandatory and actively supports the EHS safety program.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervisory duties.
Physical Demands
- Required to walk stand sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
- Required to perform physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the entire body such as climbing lifting balancing and stooping to handle materials.
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to speak read write and understand English.
- Ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Must be reliable responsible and able to fulfill obligations.
- Possess a Valid California Drivers License.
- Requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.
