SET Active is a fast-paced growing womens athleisure startup known for delivering elevated everyday essentials designed for movement comfort and lifestyle. Were a small but mighty team with big ambitions -- and were looking for a collaborative and solutions-oriented Production Manager to help keep our production process running smoothlyand support our continued growth.
The Role
The Production Manager is responsible for supporting and coordinating all aspects of the production process -- from initial development through final delivery. Youll manage daily communications with international vendors monitor timelines assist with problem-solving and help ensure products meet quality cost and delivery expectations.
This role plays an important part in keeping our production calendar on track and our teams aligned. Youll act as a key liaison between external vendors and internal partners maintaining our production roadmap and contributing to the successful execution of each product launch. The ideal candidate is highly organized detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Maintain and manage production calendars and timelines
- Ensure timely handoffs between development production and logistics teams
- Track key milestones and proactively flag delays or risks
- Coordinate the ordering tracking and delivery of all photoshoot samples bulk production and launch-ready product
Vendor Management
- Act as a day-to-day contact for vendor communications related to bulk timelines sample deliveries and quality concerns
- Track vendor performance around lead times quality and delivery
- Assist in solving production issues as they arise
Costing & Financial Support
- Own product costing in partnership with vendors and the VP of Production
- Source competitive factory options and negotiate favorable rates
- Track DDP costs and optimize margins where possible
- Collaborate with operations on timely invoice approvals and payment tracking
Quality Assurance & Customer Experience
- Partner with customer experience to investigate and resolve product quality issues incorrect shipments or fit complaints
- Lead monthly quality meetings to review customer feedback and implement corrective action plans with vendors
- Oversee execution of hang tags polybags and polymer production
Cross-Functional Communication
- Act as a central point of contact for production updates across teams (design marketing logistics operations)
- Provide consistent updates on sample deliveries production timelines and potential roadblocks
- Ensure production and marketing timelines are aligned especially around launch dates and photoshoot needs
- Track multiple SKUs across concurrent timelines.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in apparel production (activewear or athleisurepreferred)
- Experience managing communication with factories and vendors
- Familiarity with full-cycle product development development sourcing and garment construction.
- Knowledg of cost structure DDP pricing and invoice tracking.
- Proficient in Excel Google Sheets and production tracking tools (Asana a plus)
- Experience working closely with design technical design logistics and customer service teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable manahing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
