Job Description
Maintenance Technician
Location: Sherman TX
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Goodwill Industries of Northeast Texas. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities. This role involves both preventative and reactive maintenance to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment including plumbing electrical and mechanical systems.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training or certification in maintenance-related fields is a plus.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to perform manual labor including bending stooping crawling pushing pulling lifting climbing and working in various conditions.
Valid drivers license.
