The Finance Business Innovation Office team plans and implements key strategic Finance programs and projects to deliver outcomes benefiting UHN and the health system. We apply best practices for managing projects change and risk to ensure high quality deliverables effective coordination of resources and transparent progress reporting. Members of the business innovation office work in close partnership with a broad range of stakeholders bringing the right teams together to streamline the demand end-to-end delivery and operational services in order to mobilize change and achieve value.
An exciting opportunity is available to showcase your talents as a Senior Project Manager with a primary focus on enabling the Business of Finance at UHN.
UHN has successfully implemented SAP S4 HANA and ARIBA a world class ERP and Procurement and Supply Chain system that has created a vast and valuable collection of real-time integrated financial and business data.
As a highly proficient project and change management leader influencer and communicator you will play a key role in driving innovation data-driven decision-making and value that supports UHNs financial health and performance. Achieved by building on UHN Finances advancements in data and technology collaborating closely with business clinical and technical teams and implementing cross-functional projects that enable centralized self-service reporting platforms real-time data access process automation and predictive analytics and AI integration.
Duties
- Collaborate with Finance Clinical Digital and other key UHN area leadership to establish project business cases program roadmaps and strategic alignment.
- Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels to build partnerships that advance UHN Finances Mandate.
- Serve as a central point of contact and escalations for all Finance-related strategic projects.
- Assume overall end-to-end ownership of program planning and delivery for a mix of projects including large initiatives with complex technical change management and operationalization requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong program and project management rigour including management of scope schedule budget communications change management vendor contracts financial and value delivery.
- Identify recruit and manage talent to execute on short-term and long-term plans including staff development performance management and resource allocation.
- Proactively manage adversity and challenging situations resolve issues and conflicts and identify and manage risks.
- Report on program progress and demonstrate value delivery.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience
- Project Management Professional PMP certification
- Undergraduate Degree in Finance Business Health Informatics or Administration Technology Science Business or related field
- Experience in implementation and usage of SAP minimum 5 years preferred
- Supervisory or managerial experience
- Strategic critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills at the executive and senior management level
- Excellent team building coaching and group facilitation skills
- Excellent presentation documentation and communication skills
- Excellent budget management skills and proficiency in data analytics to support IT investments
- Proficient use of computer software and peripheral equipment (e.g. M365 tools MS Project MS Visio and scrum or enterprise work management tools such as Kanban Atlassian JIRA ServiceNow)
- Experience in formal procurement processes contract negotiations and vendor management
- Experience working in a complex public sector organization or healthcare institution
