Job Summary:
Strategy & Transformation team at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Strategy & Transformation Manager.

The Strategy & Transformation Manager reports to the Director Strategy & Transformation and plays a key role in advancing strategic initiatives across the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. This role contributes to the planning development and implementation of high-impact projects leads business development opportunities and fosters partnerships with industry and external stakeholders. The Manager also serves as a liaison with the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (PMCF) and internal departments ensuring alignment and collaboration across the organization. As part of the Strategy & Transformation teamuniquely positioned to take a holistic view of the Centrethe Manager helps drive institutional transformation support strategic priorities and partnerships and promote accountability and stewardship to advance the mission of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant healthcare experience at the management level and will excel at managing a portfolio that includes leading or supporting leadership with strategic projects business development opportunities program administration and operations and other hospital-wide priorities. Must have a demonstrated ability to identify strategic and operational opportunities and initiate initial work to gain stakeholder buy-in as well as execute priorities identified by leadership.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Work closely with Director Strategy & Transformation to ensure that portfolio priorities tasks and timelines are established implemented and measured.
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify and advance strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Participate in the review of the Cancer Centres strategic plan as it pertains to the Vice President Cancers portfolio and in alignment with other portfolios.
  • Develop monitor and report process and outcome measures that facilitate implementation of program/project goals and priorities ensuring that sponsors have appropriate information for decision-making.
  • Develop clear and concise presentations materials reports and other documents to support communication of work to different levels of stakeholders including senior management and external partners.
  • Development of any portfolio management related materials required including portfolio plans work breakdown structures resource allocation milestone maps status and progress reports etc. Ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget and scope.
  • Work closely with the Director of Strategy & Transformation to lead accountability and fund stewardship activities ensuring the optimal allocation and oversight of various Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (PMCF) fund accounts and align philanthropic investments with institutional priorities
  • Financial analysis and development of financial processes to support implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Develop and/or actively supports proposals for new partnerships and collaborations including project parameters timelines key performance targets and budgets.
  • Develop maintain and manage relationships with appropriate internal and external subject matter experts at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications :

  • Completion of a Masters Degree in Business/Health Administration or a recognized equivalent required.
  • Five years related healthcare management experience required (experience in cancer care is an asset).
  • Experience managing and leading teams and projects in a complex environment required.
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment and successfully balance multiple competing priorities. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to clearly communicate complex subject matter assess and synthesize large amounts of information for relevant issues combined with good judgement and sound business sense.
  • Proven ability and confidence in building relationships at all levels of an organization and building cohesiveness across diverse individual skills and styles.
  • A team player who enjoys a high performance culture and able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure on multiple assignments.
  • Excellent ability to evaluate options/alternatives and develop solutions/recommendations for solutions to complex and multi-dimensional problems/issues. This includes analytical financial and reporting skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills including report and presentation development and facilitation and presentation experience.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
  • Project management experience required. Project management certificate preferred.
  • Highly proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Teams Outlook).
