Job Description

Position Summary

As the Hiring Manager you are responsible for recruiting interviewing and on boarding team members while ensuring alignment with Sonics standards. This role also requires a strong working knowledge of Sonics operational procedures including preparation for our Annual Brand Audit and Operations Assessment (OPS). Youll support the management team in maintaining staffing levels and compliance to help the location stay audit-ready year-round.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle hiring: sourcing interviewing hiring and on boarding new crew members

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure proper staffing for all shifts

  • Train new hires on Sonic standards customer service food safety and cleanliness expectations

  • Maintain awareness of Sonics Annual Audit and OPS Assessment requirements

  • Support audit readiness by reinforcing team compliance with policies procedures and cleanliness standards

  • Promote and model Sonic core values safety practices and store policies

  • Maintain accurate hiring and training records ensuring documentation meets Sonics audit standards

  • Use hiring platforms and internal tools (e.g. Hireology Indeed applicant tracking systems) to manage candidates

  • Foster a positive candidate and employee experience

Qualifications

  • Prior hiring HR or management experience (restaurant or QSR experience is a plus)

  • Working knowledge of Sonic brand standards including audits and operational benchmarks

  • Strong leadership organizational and communication skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to coach team members on quality and compliance

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment

  • Ability to train others and hold team members accountable to Sonic expectations

Bonus Skills ( Need to Know )

  • Familiarity with Sonics Annual Audit scorecards and grading criteria

  • Experience preparing for OPS Assessments and supporting day-to-day operational readiness

  • Knowledge of food safety protocols (ServSafe certification a plus)
