Transit Facilities Division is looking for a sharp organized and motivated individual to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion to make systems run smoothly and want to be part of a mission-driven workplace that values inclusion we want to hear from you!
The Administrator III TLT or SDA position provides high-level administrative analytical and operational support to Transit Facilities Superintendents and leadership team. This position manages key business processes and ensures consistent application of policies and procedures. The role serves as a liaison between two sections in Transit Facilities Division and leadership while leading efforts to improve efficiency and support employee success.
About Metros Transit Facilities Division:
King County Metro Transits Facilities Division maintains all Metro Transit properties such as bus bases park & rides bus shelters and offices and maintenance shops. Services include bus shelter repairs and replacements bus shelter cleaning trolley wire repairs radio maintenance for buses environmental spill clean-up bus sign replacement graffiti removal and other facilities maintenance duties. Internally team provides division-wide support functions for finance budget environmental compliance safety training administrative services and new employee orientation. Planning inventory/materials management work center workforce management functional asset management general/maintenance agreements systems support capital infrastructure sustainable resources/energy.
This recruitment willimmediatelyfill one (1)TLT/SDAposition and may also be used to create an eligibility pool for future TLT/SDA positions valid up to 12 months or until exhausted and at the discretion of the hiring authority.The duration of the assignment isanticipatedto be 12 months with the possibility to extend.
Interviews are anticipated to occur during the week of July 21st 2025but are subject to change.
Note on starting wage:Depending on qualifications we may offer the candidate a different starting step at the discretion of the hiring authority.

Experience Qualifications Knowledge Skills
Candidates must meet the followingminimum qualificationsto be considered for the position:
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in a range of business and advanced administrative functions that pertain to this position.
- Demonstrated skill in project or program management and the ability to apply principles and practices related to data collection analysis and program management into administrative duties.
- Advanced knowledge of public sector budgeting finance managerial and financial accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of financial information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to document prepare and communicate program information to key staff.
- Professional courteous and tactful customer service skills that demonstrate discretion patience and the ability to follow through on commitments.
- The proven ability to be a productive and collaborative team member who values the diversity of opinions perspectives backgrounds experiences and cultures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to be able to foster effective working relationships built on trust and respect with an increasingly diverse team and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented organized and show initiative and resourcefulness in independently resolving problems and ensuring a quality work product.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required including negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Skill in maintaining strict confidentiality in the handling of sensitive data and information involving matters internal to TFD and Metro.
- Data analysis skills that support their ability to make data-driven decisions identify trends and track program effectiveness.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail. Proven ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
- Time management skills that demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities multiple projects and daily responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner.
- Intermediate level proficiency with software and tools generally used by business and administrative staff including Office products such as Outlook Word Excel Teams and SharePoint.
- A positive collaborative flexible disposition; equally adept at working independently or as part of a team.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Knowledge of Metro Transit policy & procedures.
- Experience with Enterprise Assets Management or similar work order asset management system.
- Experience in implementing initiating and managing projects/programs.
- Skill in translating technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement principles.

WORK LOCATION AND SCHEDULE:
This is a hybrid position. The work location could be any of Transit Facilities work sites.This position is typically scheduled full time (40 hours per week) with a typical schedule of Monday-Friday day shift.
