JOB TITLE: School Psychologist Intern

LOCATION: School Site as determined TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10Month
REPORTS TO: Director for Exceptional Students & DATE APPROVED:
District Psychologist as assigned
SUMMARY: Provide psychological assistance to students in the District exhibiting a need for such assistance. The School Psychologist Intern will attest to the qualifications of any student placed in program for the handicapped or gifted program in accordance with the conditions and standards for the State of Arizona P.L. 94-142 Education of the Handicapped Act and Section 504 of the Civil Rights Code. The School Psychologist Intern will provide consultation and counseling to students parents and staff with the aim of facilitating the student-learning environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provision of the Board policy or evaluation of professional personnel.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read analyze and interpret education materials and programs. Ability to write reports procedure manuals and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of teachers students administration and the community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
