The candidate will be a dedicated professional who understands the joys and demands of teaching with at least two years teaching experience (preferred). Teachers are expected to develop daily lessons that meet the goals of the classes complete grading maintain an advisory group and lead advisory group meetings as well as perform all basic administrative duties (ex. maintain attendance records accurate grade book comment writing).
Education/Experience Requirements:
An undergraduate degree in teaching content area or a related field from an accredited university. A valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned is preferred. The candidate must have strong interpersonal communications skills and solid technology skills for use in instructional and professional tasks.
General Duties:
The mission of the Catholic school is to Teach as Jesus did thereby mandating teachers in our schools to be reflections of Christs love and concern. The Classroom Teacher plans guides and evaluates the learning process of students. This position reports to the assistant principal and has decision-making responsibilities within the framework of school policies philosophy organization and curriculum. All candidates must be able to pass background checks and comply with the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program. Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
