The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineering Manager of Production Embedded Software (Virtual) to join the Enterprise Software Products & Capabilities team.
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Development Manager to centralize our production embedded software development team within Fabric. This role is critical in developing a strategic direction aimed at eliminating duplication and cultivating core products for on-platform middleware software. The successful candidate will manage legacy software still in production including Phantom Fusion and Zeus and will be responsible for owning migration plans towards common product lines (cut-ins) as well as sustainment plans for non-product-lined production programs.
Close interfacing with programs to integrate products effectively will be essential as will ensuring quality cost schedule and technical performance of statements of work under direct supervision. The responsibilities at this job family/level include managing developing and motivating employees and a first-level manager performing software engineering and related technical activities. The manager will also develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports. They will be tasked with developing and executing strategic roadmaps and plans in alignment with Fabrics business and technical strategies goals and objectives.
Furthermore the manager will provide oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including product management related engineering teams and quality assurance will be crucial to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. The manager will also contribute to the strategic planning process by providing insights on technology trends industry trends and the competitive landscape helping to shape the future direction of the Common Embedded Software product lines.
