Job Description
Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is currently seeking a reliable and hard-workingWarehouse Handler & Driver Assistantfor ourSwift Currentstore located at145 2nd Ave NW.This is aPart-Timeopportunity typically requiring three shifts per week (Mondays Fridays & Saturdays).
As the Warehouse Handler & Driver Assistant you will support our existing team with customer pick ups on-location at our warehouse and store. You will also assist our warehouse team with local deliveries as required.The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading product
- Taking inventory of materials shipped or received
- Disposing of leftover packing materials such as wooden crates pallets and cardboard
- Fulfilling warehouse orders
As a successful candidate you will have the following:
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with clean Driver Abstract (with air considered a plus).
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50-100 pounds unassisted).
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to stand walk and bend for extended periods of time.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Experience in a warehouse and/or delivery setting preferred.
- You will work as part of a team that is ambitious with our community involvement and customer service. We ask that youre open to helping out with events and social programs we host during your work schedule.
- Safety Footwear will be required.
- Clear Criminal Record Check required.
