Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations of patients.
- Perform surgeries to treat various neurological conditions.
- Analyze imaging tests such as MRIs and CT scans.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Collaborate with other specialists to coordinate patient treatment.
- Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery.
- Keep detailed and accurate patient records.
- Educate patients and families about their conditions and treatments.
- Participate in surgical rounds and case conferences.
- Engage in clinical research and trials to advance neurosurgical techniques.
- Mentor junior medical staff and students in neurosurgery.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in neurosurgery.
- Contribute to departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Participate in community outreach and public education initiatives.
- MD or equivalent medical degree.
- Completion of a residency in neurosurgery.
- MCH (Master of Chirurgiae) or equivalent higher surgical qualification.
- Board certification in neurosurgery.
- State medical license to practice neurosurgery.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing neurosurgeon.
- Proficient in advanced surgical techniques and technologies.
- Strong understanding of neurological disorders and treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Experience in clinical research and data analysis.
- Commitment to continuing medical education.
- Strong ethical standards and professionalism.
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team.
- Prior experience in academic settings is a plus.
