Role: Upgrade Manager
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a co alignment with business goals.
Coordinate all phases of software upgrade projects including planning risk assessment testing execution and rollback procedures.
Work closely with product owners development teams QA DevOps IT and customer support to ensure upgrades are technically sound and operationally viable.
Oversee upgrade teams managing several projects scope and capacity.
Manage upgrade scheduling including stakeholder communication and system downtime notifications.
Define and monitor KPIs for upgrade performance such as system stability error rates and user impact.
Lead root cause analysis for any post-upgrade issues and drive corrective actions.
Create and maintain upgrade documentation including release notes user guides rollback plans and audit logs.
Ensure all software upgrades comply with security standards regulatory requirements and internal governance policies.
Assist in evaluating and selecting automation tools to improve upgrade processes.
Manage customer or client communications when upgrades involve externally-facing systems.
Required Qualifications:
12 years of proven experience in large-scale software development with global delivery teams in a direct management structure.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex upgrade cycles in production environments.
Experience in managing upgrades for SaaS or multi-tenant platforms.
Advantage: proven experience in moving to SaaS architecture
Strong understanding of enterprise software architecture CI/CD pipelines databases and system integration.
Demonstrated success working with international customers.
Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from project planning to execution.
Excellent SQL skills
Solid knowledge of software architecture principles.
Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
Hands-on experience in enterprise-scale software implementations.
Familiarity with Cloud Platforms and Information Security.
Advantage: Experience in the insurance/financial services domain.
Proficiency in Agile delivery models with hands-on experience using JIRA.
Outstanding communication skills in English.
Willingness to travel internationally.
