Working 36.5 hours per week
With the responsibility for collection of approximately 1 billion of business rates council tax and business improvement district levies this is an exciting opportunity to join the Revenues Team and make a significant contribution to the service.
We are looking for several Revenues Officers as part of this recruitment process. We are specifically looking for dynamic and enthusiastic officers who will work as part of the existing Valuation and Inspection Team.
You will work as a Revenues Inspector a role which will involve visiting sites around the city in order to monitor new developments review changes in use and also look to deal with queries which can only be resolved by carrying out an on-site visit.
As well as carrying out visits you will be required to carry out desk based investigations using a number of IT applications.
We are also looking for officers who will be desk based and update business rate accounts and deal with customer queries.
Along with strong customer service skills ideally applicants will need to demonstrate experience in carrying out investigations in order to resolve queries. Knowledge of Council Tax and Business Rates is desirable but not essential.
