Full time 36.5 hours per week
We are looking for a hard working and self-motivated person to join Birmingham City Councils School Admissions and Fair Access service. This team is key in supporting thousands of childrens access to education each year.
Working 36.5 hours a week you will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of the school admissions process for all primary and secondary maintained schools and academies in Birmingham in accordance with a range of published policies and procedures. This post will focus on the delivery of Birminghams Fair Access Protocol.
The post holder will be working within the in-year admissions team and the role requires excellent written and oral communication skills including experience of dealing effectively with people at all levels. The post holder will also need to have excellent ICT skills and experience of working with Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook and be able to work effectively as a member of a team as well as managing the competing priorities of their own workload.
The post holder will be required to deal with large volumes of work while preserving high standards of accuracy and working under pressure to operate within statutory timescales and meet strict deadlines. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children and to supporting equality and diversity.
