Job Description

Occupational Therapist Full-time Ongoing Role.

  • Seeking an AHP1/2 Occupational Therapist to work in the acute and rehabilitation settings

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary allied health team specialising in both acute care and rehabilitation services. We provide a high quality Occupational Therapy service across a range of specialities including orthopaedic cardiorespiratory general medical general surgical neurosurgery and neurology.

The successful applicant will be appointed to a full time ongoing position working across both the acute and rehabilitation services within the hospital. The role is appointed at an AHP1 level and shifts are rostered across a 7 day service commencing initially on weekdays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe high-quality and evidence-based care
  • Work autonomously delivery occupational therapy assessment and intervention across both acute and rehabilitation patient cohorts
  • Comprehensive assessment of patients with a wide variety of conditions
  • Manage a diverse caseload
  • Safe and timely discharge planning

What you bring

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated experience working in the acute hospital or rehabilitation setting
  • Commitment to life-long learning
  • Dynamic adaptable and innovative approach to providing evidence-based safe and high-quality care
