Job Description
Salary/Position Classification
- $15.00 hourly Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
- 1-5 hours per week
- This position will work onsite.
Purpose of Position
This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. The position will begin September 1 and continue through the academic year 2025-2026.
The School of Graduate Studies is launching a new podcast series to spotlight graduate student experiences at UND. We are seeking a creative and committed student to serve as the voice of this initiative. The Podcast Host will be responsible for planning recording and editing episodes that feature conversations with graduate studentsboth on-campus and distance students.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Host and produce 45 podcast episodes per semester featuring graduate student guests
- Research and prepare interview questions tailored to each guests background and story
- Record and edit episodes to ensure high-quality publishable content
- Write clear and engaging episode descriptions to accompany each podcast release summarizing key themes and guest highlights
- Collaborate with the Graduate School team to align content with department goals
- Maintain a consistent production schedule and meet publishing deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies
- Strong verbal communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Self-starter hardworking passionate regarding communications and storytelling
Minimum Requirements
- Currently enrolled UND student ideally in Communication or a related field
- Experience with podcasting audio editing or digital media production
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of COMM 305 (Audio Production) is strongly preferred.
