Job Description
- Curriculum Development and Delivery:
- Developing and implementing lesson plans for various subjects including reading writing math social studies and potentially science arts and music.
- Utilizing diverse teaching methods like lectures discussions and hands-on activities to cater to different learning styles.
- Classroom Management and Environment:
- Creating a safe organized and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and collaboration.
- Establishing clear expectations for behavior and implementing strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
- Assessing student learning through various methods like tests quizzes and observations.
- Providing timely and constructive feedback to students to guide their learning.
- Tracking student progress and identifying areas where students might need additional support.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicating effectively with parents about student progress behavior and needs.
- Collaborating with other teachers specialists and administrators to support student learning and development.
- Professional Development:
- Participating in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices.
- Working with administrators to develop and achieve professional goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Supervising students during recess and lunch periods.
