University Home Care is seeking a full time Physical Therapist to join our team and be able to travel around Taylor Trenton Southgate Rockwood and surrounding areas. This individual will provide exceptional care to patients in their home setting promoting health and independence through therapeutic exercise functional training and patient education. This individual contributor role requires a highly skilled and compassionate therapist who is dedicated to helping patients achieve their optimal physical potential.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full time hourly position with a competitive compensation package of $70 to $80 per visit paid bi-weekly and we work around your schedule as well.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of patients to assess their physical needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques such as stretching strengthening and range of motion exercises to promote improved mobility and function
- Utilize specialized equipment and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to aid in patients recovery and pain management
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at home
- Monitor and document patients progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and integrate treatment goals and plans
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care documentation and communication
- Stay current on latest research and advancements in the field of physical therapy
Requirements:
- Valid and current license to practice physical therapy in the state of Michigan
- Bachelors Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with healthcare team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work with patients of varying mobility levels
- Knowledge of and adherence to all applicable legal and ethical standards
