Job Description

Position Summary

Delva Tool & Machine (DTM) is seeking a Director of Qualityfor ourCinnaminson NJlocation.The Director ofQualitywill establish enhance and maintain a corporate quality assurance system and team that promotes customer satisfaction that positively impacts the financial performance of the business. *This position works a schedule of Monday thru Fridayfrom 7:30am-4:00pm. The hiring range for this position is between $135000- $180000per yeardepending on experience*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for customer quality concerns and initiatives
  • Lead the development and implementation of the companys Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Supervise and support quality control staff in daily operations
  • Serve as the quality assurance representative in product design and development projects
  • Create and maintain procedures for process control testing inspection and improvement
  • Establish and track key quality metrics to monitor and improve performance
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for quality issues
  • Collect and analyze statistical data to identify trends and support continuous improvement
  • Review customer specifications to ensure manufacturability and quality compliance
  • Develop and implement quality plans and process documentation for new and existing products
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance; maintain supplier rating system
  • Ensure customer requirements are incorporated into quality and process plans
  • Collaborate with customers to identify quality improvement opportunities
  • Oversee equipment calibration and product testing programs
  • Report quality trends and issues to senior management
  • Define and enforce supplier quality standards
  • Manage internal and external audits and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Work with suppliers and customers to resolve quality problems and implement solutions
  • Promote a data-driven culture focused on continuous improvement
  • Standardize work processes and eliminate sources of poor quality
  • Enhance organizational capabilities to support quality-first project execution
  • Train coach and mentor teams on quality tools and process improvement techniques

Experience Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors degree in manufacturing or something similar is preferred.
  • 7 years of related experience and/or training is required.
  • At least five years of experience in manufacturing of similar products.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing Six Sigma AS and ISO certifications.
  • Familiarity with general inspection equipment such as mics calipers gages comparators or vision systems.
  • Aerospace and defense industry experience is a plus.
