We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk CouncilsCapital Programme Team as a Contracts Manager.
Your role:
The post holder will be responsible for successful contract management and delivery of the Warm Homes programme to implement whole house energy efficiency upgrades. Managing the programmed works ensuring statutory obligations relating to safety is fully complied with. Working collaboratively with supplier(s) to ensure high quality outcomes with regard to cost quality and time. Responsibility for budget management and cost control of the programme. Responsible for ensuring reporting and governance requirements of external funders are fully met.
Flexible working is applicable for this role but it is desirable for the post holder to work 2 days a week in Lowestoft.
What you will need:
The candidate will have significant commercial experience and management of contracts and have knowledge of energy efficiency programmes. You will be commercially astute with good people management skills including the ability to motivate a team to perform to their optimum ability.
Having a relevant qualification in surveying/ contracts manager or that you are willing to complete a level 5 or above in a relevant qualification is essential and having a professional body membership (CIOB/RICS/CABE) is desirable.
