Senior Support Worker Day & Night Rotational ShiftsFull-Time
New Specialist Learning Disability Service Paid Breaks Full Induction & Ongoing Training

Our client is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join the team at a brand-new purpose-built care home for adults with learning disabilities. This full-time role involves a rotation of day and night shifts offering variety responsibility and the chance to truly make an impact every day.

This specialist home has been designed to empower residents promote independence and create a safe supportive environment where both people and professionals thrive.

As a Senior Support Worker you will lead by example in delivering person-centred empowering care to adults with a variety of learning disabilities. Working as part of a passionate and inclusive team youll support colleagues mentor new starters and ensure that every shift runs smoothly and safely.

Youll be trusted with key responsibilities and encouraged to contribute your ideas experience and energy to help shape this new service into a real home.

What Theyre Looking For

  • A Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or above) essential
  • Previous senior experience in a care or support setting
  • A strong understanding of learning disabilities and person-centred care
  • Positive leadership skills and a team-focused attitude
  • Excellent communication organisation and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility to work day and night shifts on a rotational basis
  • A genuine passion for empowering people to live fulfilling lives

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in delivering high-quality tailored care and support
  • Supervise and support junior staff during shifts
  • Administer medication and ensure records are up to date (if trained)
  • Support with planning and delivering engaging meaningful activities
  • Encourage independence and individual choice in all aspects of daily life
  • Safeguard the wellbeing and dignity of every resident
  • Contribute to the development and review of care/support plans
  • Build strong professional relationships with families and external professionals
