Job Summary
Northeast Counseling Services is the mental health crisis service provider for central and southern Luzerne County. We are currently seeking individuals to become part of our team providing assessments on mental health clients seeking help. The Walk-In Crisis Worker provides in-person and telephone assessment and intervention for adults children & adolescents experiencing psychiatric emergencies.
The position requires a Masters Degree in social work psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university or a Bachelors Degree in human services field or Registered Nurse. They should possess a working knowledge of the philosophy concepts mandates and operations of community mental health services and/or related human services delivery. They should be proficient in writing and verbal communications skills with knowledge of crisis interventions techniques and an ability to interact with the public.
