Assistant Professor
Department of Engineering Faculty of Science
Nine-Month Limited Term Appointment
The Department of Engineering at St. Francis Xavier University invites applications for a nine-month limited term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin on August 11 2025. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
The teaching assignment will be first-year and second-year engineering courses such as Computer Programming Technical Communications Electric Circuits Modelling and Optimization and Engineering Economics.
Applicants must be a licensed engineer either having the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or professional engineer (.) designation.
About the Department
The StFX Engineering Department offers a two-year Diploma in Engineering which can also be combined with a three-year or four-year BSc. Department faculty members are active in research and are also committed to undergraduate student success having regular interactions with students and relatively small class sizes.
