In this pivotal role you will identify assess and manage security vulnerabilities across a complex digital landscape playing a key role in protecting the universitys critical infrastructure.
About the Role
Reporting to the Associate Director Cyber Security Operations you will:
- Develop and operationalise a comprehensive vulnerability management framework
- Lead vulnerability scans penetration testing and third-party security assessments
- Collaborate across departments to prioritise and remediate security risks
- Provide strategic guidance to university stakeholders on vulnerability-related matters
- Deliver training and awareness programs to foster a strong security culture
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and drive proactive mitigation strategies
- Provide regular reporting and performance analysis on vulnerability posture
About You
You bring:
- A degree in cybersecurity IT or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience in vulnerability management and penetration testing
- Strong technical knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and techniques
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CEH OSCP GIAC) highly desirable
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver strategic outcomes
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to innovation accountability and inclusion
