Job Description

Student Counsellor (Psychologist) UNSW Canberra

Employment type: Fixed-term full-time contract (part-time considered)
Duration: 13 months
Remuneration: Level 8 from $127351 (FTE) plus 17% superannuation
Location: UNSW Canberra ADFA Campus

Why Your Role Matters
We are seeking a psychologist to work within a small team providing counselling and support to UNSW Canberra students. The Psychology and Wellness Canberra team plays a key role in supporting students mental health and general wellbeing throughout their time at UNSW. The support for this role focuses on UNSW students attending the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA).

Who You Are (skills and experience):

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in delivering short to medium length evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Well-developed clinical skills
  • Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a psychologist
  • Relevant tertiary qualification

Desirable but not mandatory:

  • Familiarity with issues facing University/research students
