Performs day to day assigned tasks and preventive maintenance.
Must be able to assist engineer as needed.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
1. Responsible for minor building electrical needs.
- Responsible for minor building electrical needs (lighting repair and new lighting installs receptacle replacement and installing of telephone and data cabling etc.).
2. Maintaining air handlers.
- Maintaining air handlers including all air filter changing needs.
3. Assigned Preventive Maintenance.
- Assigned Preventive Maintenance (P.M.) to include but not limited to ice machine eyewash stations clean press pumps clean shaker screen clean lint traps lint trap fans and dryer ducts tunnel screens and nightly laundry machine blow down.
4. Assist in parking area and sidewalk snow removal and sanding.
- Assist in parking area and sidewalk snow removal and sanding.
5. Completes all required preventative maintenance.
- Completes all required preventative maintenance assignments on time and in a complete manner.
6. Operates equipment in a way in which safety rules and policies are followed.

7. Must act promptly to service calls and production needs.

Job Requirements
Education
- High school graduate or equivalent with the ability to understand read speak and write English to the level normally acquired by completing the 12th grade.
Experience
- Two years experience in a maintenance position and/or two years schooling for a maintenance related area required.
- Good mechanical ability and be able to work varied hours required.
License/Certifications
- Valid drivers license required with no more than 2 minor violation/at fault accidents or no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Able to obtain within the first 30 days of employment a classification of authorized as it applies to Shared Service Systems Energy Lockout/Tagout Procedure required.
- Successfully complete forklift certification with a score of 80% within 30 days required.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must have own hand tools.
- Must be able to lift over 75 pounds.
- Must be able to diagnose minor electrical problems including lighting and repair and/or replace as required.
- Must be able to mig weld soft solder and operate and oxygen/acetylene torch.
- Must have good mechanical knowledge in areas of but not limited to hydraulics pneumatics minor metal fabrication.
- Must be able to repair walls and paint.
