General Job Description: This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and works in a financial team environment to assist the Agency in meeting various financial reporting deadlines. Responsibilities include the accurate and timely processing of payments to vendors and subcontractors completing vendor assessments throughout the fiscal year and producing monthly quarterly and annual reports for federal and state funders including MDHHS. This position prepares reconciliations develops and monitors budgets and supervises accounting personnel as assigned. Physical Requirements: - Must be able to work in an office environment

Essential Functions: - Supervise department staff including the Accounting Specialist and Data Specialist; provide training and direction to agency staff.
- Assist the CFO in establishing departmental objectives and strategic priorities.
- Organize workflow and set priorities to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Delegate and oversee projects and initiatives within the department.
- Manage federal and state grants to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting remaining current on applicable program requirements and Federal Uniform Guidance.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for board meetings.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for grants fundraising activities and federal/state funding in alignment with program goals and compliance guidelines.
- Perform core accounting functions with minimal supervision including but not limited to posting journal entries preparing and reviewing bank reconciliations accounts receivable tracking and reconciliation preparing and reviewing invoices and payments to vendors and preparing and reviewing various monthly balance sheet account schedules. Accurately establish and maintain financial records.
- Monitor and manage monthly and quarterly revenue and expenditure reports budgets and other financial reports as required.
- Oversee financial operations with Integrated Care Organizations (ICOs) including contracts claims payments and invoicing; resolve discrepancies in collaboration with ICO staff.
- Collaborate with ICO staff to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues related to claims or payments.
- Process bi-monthly invoice and payment cycles ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Coordinate and track vendor assessments with internal staff.
- Prepare audit schedules and oversee preparations for the agencys annual audit.
- Develop ad hoc reports to support executive and programmatic decision-making.
- Compile review and analyze financial and statistical data for internal and external use.
- Update and implement fiscal policies and procedures in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Continuously assess and improve departmental processes based on evolving agency needs and best practices.
- Foster positive working relationships with management staff vendors partner agencies and external stakeholders.
- Communicate financial concepts clearly to individuals with varying levels of accounting knowledge.
- Adhere to all organizational policies procedures and ethical standards.
- Track agency office supply inventory and coordinate timely reorders for essential materials.
- Use of Microsoft Office products including Excel Word Outlook etc.
- Use of remote work tools including but not limited to Microsoft Teams video conferencing VPN/Remote connections Office 365 and other secure file sharing applications etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
