Job Description
As HR Director EMEA you will serve as the senior HR leader for the EMEA region driving strategic people initiatives and operational excellence -in alignment with TVHs global vision- to make the EMEA region successful. You will lead a diverse team of HR Business Partners and Generalists and collaborate closely with the global HR Centers of Excellence and regional leadership to ensure impactful business-aligned HR delivery.
Location: Waregem Belgium
Reports to: President EMEA (dotted line to Chief People Officer)
Team Size: 12 direct reports within a broader People Department of 105 globally
Region Scope: total of 3366 employees of which 2210 employees in Belgium and 1156 in other EMEA countries including o.a. France Germany UK Poland Italy Spain Turkey South Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
Serve as a key member of the EMEA Leadership Team and as a partner to the President EMEA.
Develop and execute a forward-looking HR strategy for the EMEA region
Provide regional feedback and needs to influence the global HR agenda .
Translate global HR objectives into actionable regional programs that drive engagement retention and performance
Business Partnering & Influence
Lead and coach HRBPs and Generalists across EMEA countries to ensure deep integration and influence in business decision-making.
Build strong partnerships with regional business leaders fostering a people-centric culture.
Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on regional workforce planning organizational design and change management.
Belgium-Focused Expertise
Lead HR strategy and execution for Belgium navigating complex blue- and white-collar dynamics.
Manage and strengthen relationships with local works council and social partners ensuring compliance mutual trust and proactive engagement.
Collaboration with Global HR
Act as a key contributor to the Global HR Leadership Team reporting insights and needs from the EMEA region.
Work closely with Global Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition Talent Development People Operations Communication & Employee Engagement Change) to align policies and programs regionally and collaborate closely with the Chief People Officer.
Organizational Development & Transformation
Champion and actively contribute to the company-wide Innovatis program to ensure the success of transformation initiatives across the EMEA region.
Support and enable business leaders helping them navigate change and align their teams to evolving business priorities.
Act as a key enabler of scalable people-centric and future-ready solutions that enhance organizational agility workforce capability and cultural alignment.
Profile
Skills & Experience
- Proven HR leadership experience in a complex multi-country setting ideally in a matrix or global environment.
- Knowledge of Belgian labor law social dialogue and union interactions.
- Strong track record in change management organizational development and HR transformation.
- Capable of balancing strategic vision with hands-on operational delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to coach develop and lead diverse HR teams across geographies.
Education & Qualifications
- Masters degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
- Fluent in Dutch and English are a must. Other languages are an asset.
