Role: Project Manager with Government Experience

Description
The Expert Project Manager will be expected to provide Project Management support for DMV Transformation.
Duties
- Project managers will perform a full range of project management tasks as defined by the NYS Project Management Guidebook R2 and will include:
- Allocation estimation and reporting of project resources;
- Identification and maintenance of critical path and contingencies;
- Utilization of formal project change control process;
- Identification monitoring control and mitigation planning of project risks;
- Creation and management of project documentation including but not limited to scope statement schedule budget quality plan risks issues and communication plan;
- Establishment of project team roles and responsibilities;
- Facilitation of regular status meetings with project team to monitor project health and progress;
- Creation of weekly and monthly status reports to communicate project status to all levels of stakeholders including executives sponsors and management;
- Facilitation of sponsor and executive level meetings;
- Management of projects with 20 or more project participants.

- Plans organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.
Requirements
- This is an 100% Onsite
- 84 months experience managing projects in a state or federal government environment.
- 36 months of active PMP certification through PMI (must be current).
- 84 months experience in the creation of meeting agendas meeting minutes and project communications for multi-year/cross functional projects.
- 84 months experience in the creation of project management scopes business cases and/or project plans for multi-year/cross functional projects.
- 84 months experience in project management maintaining and managing a multi-year/cross functional project schedule including milestones and resources. Describe the goals of those projects.
- 84 months experience with following an industry accepted Project Management methodology. List the methods used
