Job Description
Responsible for collecting assessing and accurately entering all dietary related patient information into Computrition menu system to support the provision of patient-specific meals in accordance with prescribed diet orders. This role serves as a key liaison between the department nursing units patients and Clinical Dietitians to ensure the effective delivery of nutritional care. Additional responsibilities include entering diet orders allergy information and meal preferences into the Computrition system.
Qualifications :
- Food and Nutrition services diploma from an approved college and/or University degree in Human Nutrition
- Strong Computer and keyboarding skills (MS Office Meditech or comparable software) required
- Familiar with Foodservice Diet Office Operating Systems (Computrition or comparable)
- Clinical nutrition knowledge in the management of disease
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload independently and use good judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment
- Professionalism accuracy and benevolent disposition
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
The ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.
Additional Information :
Hours: Monday - Sunday- Days; 0500-1700; 0600-1800; 1100-1900; Various rotating 8 to 12 hour shifts; (hours subject to change based on operational requirements):
