Job Description

This role is primarily responsible for reconciling the accuracy of inventory within all our warehouses and production floor in Edgewood as well as Subcontract suppliers and Off-Site storage facilities.  The role will be responsible for implementing current cycle count procedures as well developing new ideas to control and optimize inventory.

Responsibilities

Job duties to include but are not limited to;

  • Coordinate all functions with daily cycle counting
  • Coordinate all functions with one off cycle count requests
  • With assistance from the Warehouse Supervisor coordinate all functions with yearly cycle count
  • Create cycle count documents and enter any changes in SAP as well as send approval documents to Finance
  • With direction from the Warehouse Supervisor reassign work to applicable team members participating in cycle count activities
  • Work with Warehouse Supervisor and other departments such as Purchasing Planning and Quality to ensure product lines are maintained with necessary inventory
  • Communicate with Planning Purchasing and Quality as needed with inventory issues constraints etc.
  • Responsible for communicating with all departments regarding cycle counts
  • Identity and Track root cause of inventory discrepancies.
  • Propose actions to reduce inventory discrepancies.
  • Process goods receipts for materials sent off-site
  • Help reconcile Accounts Payable issues regarding inaccurate receipts
  • Identify and Track Slow Moving and At-Risk inventory items and recommend actions to reduce them.
  • Communicate with Supervisor any constraints issues or other information associated with health and safety concerns ability of the work cell to complete daily assignments warehouse improvement opportunities and quality concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Required Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working in a role of checking/changing inventory levels in a fast paced environment

Additional Requirements: Must be self-motivated and have the ability to problem solve with minimal guidance.  Must work well as an individual and with a team

Technical Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform routine cycle count responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of the warehouse operating system within SAP
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Experience with a WMS system is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly
  • Ability to deal with and resolve conflict quickly and effectively
  • Natural curiosity and analytical skills

Background: This position may require Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and vetting via the TSA. If required applicant must successfully pass a federal background investigation. This position may require a U.S. Personal Security Clearance.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: The compensation for this position ranges from $37377 to $87214/yr (Salary to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant and alignment with internal and market data.)
