Job Description

ConveGenius is looking for an experienced Backend Developer with experience in developing feature rich and complex web applications to join our team. You will work on high level API design implementation and support. You will help drive decisions on database architecture and tune the environment for maximum scalability and security.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement REST APIs.

Design and implement low-latency high-availability and performant applications.

Test software to ensure responsiveness correctness and efficiency.

Collaborate with front-end developers on the integration of elements.

Take initiatives to build better and faster solutions to the problems of scale.

Troubleshoot application related issues and work with the infrastructure team to triage Major Incidents.

Experience in analyzing/researching solutions and developing/implementing recommendations accordingly.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

4 years of professional experience.

Expertise in Javascript (ES6) and NodeJS is a must.

Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.

In depth knowledge of frameworks like ExpressJS and Restify.

Experience in building backend services for handling data at large scale is a must.

Ability to architect high availability applications and servers on cloud adhering to best practices. Microservices architecture is preferrable.

Experience working with MySQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB and MongoDB.

Experience writing complex SQL queries..

In depth knowledge of NodeJS concepts like event loop.

Ability to perform technical deep-dives into code.

Understanding of communication using websockets.

Good understanding of clean architecture and SOLID principles.

Basic knowledge of AWS and Docker containerization is preferable

Experience in Python is a plus.

Familiarity with Git.
