Job Description
Do you enjoy working closely with young people supporting their progress and celebrating their success
Were looking for a High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a focus on numeracy to join our supportive team at Brixham College.
What youll do:
- Work alongside class teachers to raise attainment in maths
- Support pupils one-to-one or in small groups to help them access learning
- Lead whole-class sessions when required
- Play a key role in planning assessing and tracking student progress
- Support learners of all abilities especially those who need a little extra help to shine
This role is perfect for someone with a strong understanding of mathematics and a desire to make a real difference. Youll help students build confidence enjoy learning and reach their full potential.
What were looking for:
- Strong maths skills and a passion for helping students succeed
- Experience supporting learning in the classroom (primary or secondary)
- A HLTA qualification is desirable or well support the right candidate to gain it
- A team player with great communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to inclusive education including support for students with SEND
