The Tool Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing tool and consumable transactions. Duties include but are not limited to filling tool and equipment requisitions checking tools in and out to jobs cleaning and inspecting tools and overseeing the day to day operations of the tool room.
Essential Duties:
- Fills tools and consumable requisitions
- Checking tools in and out to jobs via hand held scanner
- Cleans and inspects tools
- Tags tools that require repair
- Responsible for returning tools to the appropriate location
- Replaces barcodes when necessary
- Properly labels new tools
- Loads tools onto trucks and/or trailers
- Responsible for inventory control of tools
- Enters data into tool tracking software as necessary
- Responsible for quality control on all outgoing tool deliveries
- Communicates backorders with field foreman
- Supervises tool room assistants
- Manages monthly tool spend to stay within budget
- Order tool and consumable material as needed
- Write purchase orders
- Complete tool order log entry on a daily basis
- Performs quarterly inventory to maintain accurate inventory reports
- Review time sheets for tool room employees for accuracy
- Respond to all tool room quality observations within 24 hours
- Insures accurate inventory levels are met to fulfill orders
- Acts as a substitute for Material Handling Manager as required
- Responsible for all shop maintenance and cleaning
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience/Licenses
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 5 years of Tools Logistics experience within the industry and 3 years of supervisory experience.
- A valid Florida Drivers License is required.
Qualifications Skills and Abilities
Knowledge and skill of:
- Maintain current knowledge of advances in the field
- Familiar with proper safety equipment
- Possess basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Accurately diagnose and efficiently accomplish work to the mutual benefit of the customer and CES
- Possess basic knowledge of manufacturers control system software
Ability to:
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Good verbal and reading skills including the ability to read and apply manufacturers instructions and to clearly communicate with other CES employees
- Able to effectively communicate both orally and in a written fashion
- Use upper extremities required for forward and overhead reaching pushing pulling and material handling
- Use torso and lower extremities required for kneeling crawling stooping twisting and squatting
- Climb and balance on ladders and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb balance on ladders and stand for long periods at a time
- Repetitive stooping twisting turning stairs possible multiple times per day
- Work under pressures of time a non-standard schedule weather customer needs and backlog constraints
